This is a guest post by long-time customer Mike T.
Hello readers, my name is Mike Tremblay and I have been ordering from Herbal Samurai since the beginning.
I'm a happy customer of theirs and perhaps more importantly I am a huge proponent of Kratom.
It's the real deal and today I'm going to tell you all about it.
Before we begin: Learn the 'Kratom Lingo'
Although Kratom is legal to purchase or possess in almost all 50 states and in most countries, to be extra careful we will use separate kratom terminology to discuss it in this article.
These terms are fairly common throughout the internet when kratom is being discussed.
For simplicity, when talking about using kratom most people refer to this as ‘burning’ it. When discussing the effects of kratom, the majority of people online refer to this is as kratom’s ‘aroma’. The word ‘incense’ refers to either the physical powder itself.
Whether or not you actually go and light Kratom on fire is your decision, but I think a quick internet search of how most folks use their Kratom would be much easier. ;)
You do not incriminate yourself by talking about kratom. The 'Kratom lingo' is just used for extra protection and we hope it doesn’t make things too much harder to follow along with.
Forward: Kratom Is Amazing
There is a lot of junk on the internet that people claim will benefit you in some way.
Fat Burners, Focus Pills, L-Theanine, Tribulus Terrestris, Piracetam, Saw Palmetto, Fish Oil, ‘Male Enhancement’ Stuff…. the list goes on and on.
I've tried a ton of stuff and know that aside from a few things, most things don’t give enough of a benefit to justify spending money on it. Straight up, most stuff doesn’t even work at all.
Kratom is by far the best investment I’ve ever made.
Kratom incense has been the single biggest contributing factor in achieving my financial, physical, and 'other' goals at a relatively young age.
Kratom has literally been life-changing for me. This is one of the VERY FEW compounds on the internet (planet?) that can actually make a difference.
I stand behind kratom 100% (I've been burning it for almost 4 years now) and I am very happy to write this blog post to share my experience with it.
I'm no great writer but I hope you enjoy it and I think you'll learn quite a bit.
What is Kratom?
Kratom, also known as Mitragyna Speciosa or Ketum, is a herbal plant indigenous to Southeast Asia. It is part of the coffee family and contains several similarities to coffee itself.
The plant has been burned for centuries in Southeast Asia for a variety of benefits such as: pain relief, productivity, uplift in mood, and anxiety reduction.
When burning lower amounts, the aroma acts more as a stimulant and provides energy and a boost in productivity. In higher amounts, the aroma is known for providing sedative qualities as well as pain relief.
Virtually all types of Kratom incense create an aroma that can aid in anxiety reduction and an increase in motivation when burned.
Kratom is quite unique in the sense that the aroma provides both stimulant effects without the unwanted anxiety, but also relaxation without slowing down your system.
It has been burned by several in order to improve their overall quality of life.
What Does Kratom Look Like?
Kratom trees are known to grow fairly large compared to other trees in their family. The trees tend to grow in tropical or sometimes in subtropical environments.
It is native to Southeast Asia, with over 95% of the world’s kratom currently grown in Indonesia.
The large kratom leaves contain over 40 unique alkaloids that contribute to it’s psychoactive and anti-oxidant profiles. The most active alkaloid is mitragynine, which is the compound responsible for kratom’s beneficial aroma.
In general, kratom comes from five different locations; Thailand, Borneo (Indonesian West Island), Sumatra (Indonesian East Island), Vietnam, and Malaysia.
Thailand kratom is often called Maeng Da and is considered a fast strain of kratom incense that provides energy and motivation when burned.
Kratom is also defined by the color of the veins within the leaves. While all kratom is a shade of green once it is in powdered form, the color of the veins in the leaves has a big impact on the effects of the kratom aroma.
In general: The aroma from red vein kratom is slow, relaxing, and excellent for pain management. Green vein kratom’s aroma is moderate in speed, and excellent for mood improvement and anti-anxiety. The aroma from white vein kratom is ideal for energy and productivity.
What are the Effects of Kratom?
The botanical make-up of Kratom provides it with a wide array of physical and psychological aromatic effects when burned.
In addition, the aroma from kratom has a variety of psychoactive effects that make it very useful to many. Burning kratom incense has been known to drastically improve one’s mood and increase energy.
For many, the aroma will provide mild stimulant effects, similar to coffee, making it great for productivity and focus. Each individual strain of Kratom presents varying aromas with degrees of stimulation, mood improvement, and relaxation.
For example, most Maeng Da strain aromas are great for increasing productivity and motivation, while strains of the Bali variety typically create an aroma that is more sedating and provide more pain relief.
How is Kratom burned / How much do I burn?
The type of aroma of all kratom strains depends on how much is burned.
Smaller burn amounts of 2-5 grams tend to produce a stimulating aroma. This usually leads to increased productivity and motivation.
Burning larger amounts of 6-10 grams will produce relaxing and sedative aromatic effects on the user. This type of aroma is preferred by many who require pain relief and anti-anxiety benefits.
Many find that all types of aroma from Kratom provides an overall sense of calmness.
Kratom is also burned by many for energy and motivation aromas, because it can increase your alertness due to it’s stimulant properties. Again, this is best achieved through lower amounts of 2 - 5 grams.
Kratom has been burned by some looking to overcome social anxiety, and also make people that are already comfortable socially even more extroverted. The aroma from virtually all strains of kratom can lead to this.
Where Do I Buy Kratom?
I personally only buy my Kratom from Herbal Samurai (the site you are reading this article on right now).
In fact, I wrote this article for them for free because I like their strains and they've always treated me fairly.
I always get my orders delivered quickly after I order so there is not waiting around for days.
The quality of the product and the effectiveness of the aroma is consistently good.
This is very important because Kratom can change based on the season of the year, so some vendors (in my experience) only have good Kratom for part of the year.
I like my Kratom to be excellent all year long, and Herbal Samurai never fails to deliver.
My personal favorite strains are all of the Maeng Da strains, with Swift Samurai and Productive Samurai being my go-to's. These are the ones that personally work really well for me, but I like all of the strains.
I have friends that also burn Kratom and a some of them find the slower strains to be fantastic (I prefer the faster ones myself).
If you're a newbie I would get the Samurai Starter Pack. This one always has a slow strain, medium speed, and fast strain. It's great for figuring out what you like best.
Elite grade quality is very important if you want to experience everything Kratom incense has to offer, and Herbal Samurai has always delivered the goods.
Thank you for reading!
